This firm is looking for an experienced PR Manager to handle the communications activities of two of its fastest growing practices in London - litigation and financial regulatory. This is a newly formed role working with two impressive senior communications operators. As PR Lead you will be expected to devise and deliver smart campaigns to further enhance the firm’s reputation in these strategically important areas. Working as part of the wider Brand & Communications department, the PR Lead will work across various platforms and with the department’s specialist teams, including social media, editorial services, video and broadcast, and traditional PR and media to leverage the firm’s content. The Role

Key challenges and opportunities in PR Lead role:

  • This role will lead the communications programmes for the Litigation & Trial and Financial Regulatory practices, and other closely linked practices such as Fintech, cyber security and data privacy.
  • Opportunity to make an impact and stand out within the firm by bringing your ideas to the table by implementing PR programs regionally
  • Scope to build out the role and develop your skills across the communications disciplines to advance the firm’s strategic communications goals
  • You must be interested in UK business and macroeconomic issues, and will be expected to develop content and campaigns around a range of hot-topics
  • If you are moving from a listed or privately owned company to a partnership, it will be a significant change as your influencing skills come to the forefront to get things done
  • Proactively seek media opportunities for national business press coverage and manage all proactive press reach and reactive media relations for these practices

The Person

Key attributes and experience for this PR Lead role:

  • Currently working as a corporate communications/PR Manager or corporate agency Account Director or Associate Director ready to take on more responsibility
  • Due to the nature of the work it is likely that you are familiar with financial services and professional services
  • Must be an excellent writer with strong attention to detail who is calm, pragmatic and has a proven track-record as a trusted advisor
  • You are a high performing, organized and solutions focussed individual with the ability to communicate across teams
  • You must deliver solid results under pressure, be proactive in your approach as the success of this role will rely on your ideas and action
  • Current national and business media contacts are preferred –knowledge of financial regulation and/or litigation would be a huge plus
  • Backgrounds within large, well-recognised companies are preferred although this is not essential
  • Enjoy ‘talking business ideas’ and finding stories worthy of the national press
