There has been no improvement in gender pay equality in the industry in the past year, our annual salary, bonus and benefits reveals. Surely this is a sign that companies need to look more deeply into taking steps to not only understand the root causes of this stubborn issue, but also the context around how and why a pay disparity exists within corporate communications, and what the best strategy is to address it in the long term.

I have been part of a mastermind and training group for years. We meet up twice a year for a three-day ‘retreat’. In the past, we have basked in the Tenerife sun, walked across hot coals in leafy Kent, sung karaoke and hired out a casino for the night in the beautiful Scottish countryside. It’s always incredibly energising and we come away with fresh ideas and knowledge, ready to take on the world again!
